LOAD-DISTRIBUTING EFFECT
MAXIMUM LOADS
Even when stationary, industrial production facilities place tons of weight on just a few centimetres of ground. During operation, however, vibrations and oscillations occur which significantly increase the load. Similar stresses can occur when goods are moved through industrial halls with conveyor vehicles. Argelith clinker tiles and Argelith porcelain stoneware tiles in extra thickness are not affected by this. They have an exceptional point load capacity as well as high compressive and flexural strength. In addition, the four upper edges of our industrial tiles are chamfered, which protects them from cracks and breakage caused by heavy rolling equipment.
BREAKAGE TEST 15 MM
WORKSHOP TILES 15 MM ON CONCRETE SLAB
Breakage of the slab including industrial tiles at 37,800 N (mean value)
BREAKAGE TEST 18 MM
WORKSHOP TILES 20 MM ON CONCRETE SLAB
Breakage of the slab including industrial tiles at 45,200 N (mean value). The tests were carried out with a load increase of around 1,000 N (equivalent to 100 kg) per second. The breakage occurred when the force dropped, which was accompanied by visible damage to the test specimens.
