CERAMIC INDUSTRIAL FLOORS FOR THE MEAT INDUSTRY
TILES FOR BUTCHER’S SHOPS
Hygienic, safe, and durable flooring
A floor covering in a butcher’s shop, or meat processing plant should always be hygienic, safe and resilient. With ceramic industrial flooring, you are also building for decades to come.
Slip- and frost-resistant industrial tiles
Here, the extra-strong industrial tiles can be installed and used in the slaughter area as well as in the areas of cutting, production, processing through to the sales area. Frost resistance also allows them to be used in cold stores. Unlike coatings, surface textures can be added to tiles before the firing process. On the one hand, this results in optimum, abrasion-resistant slip resistance. On the other hand, uniform and spatially adapted slip resistance can be guaranteed across the entire production area.
The hygienically safe flooring system
Epoxy resin joints are almost always installed in food production, offering the highest hygienic standards. The combination of porcelain stoneware tile (hexagonal tiles, Hexalith) and epoxy resin joint forms the top protective layer in the floor system and thus ensures the highest possible level of protection in your production. Optimally grouted, the joint and tile are almost flush and enable easy and hygienically safe cleaning. In addition, the honeycomb shape makes it easy to create slopes, and floor- and trench drains are simple to install.
No downtime
Industrial tiles in 15mm or 18mm thickness can withstand the heaviest loads. However, if a tile is damaged, it can be individually removed from the system and replaced. Daily operations are not affected and the floor system is quickly restored to perfect condition.

Safety and hygiene
The be-all and end-all in the butcher’s shop
Safety and hygiene play a key role in meat production and processing. A well-planned, robust floor covering not only protects your employees from accidents, but also ensures the quality of your products. In this blog post, you can find out why porcelain stoneware tiles are the ideal choice: resistant to acids and alkalis, easy to clean and extremely durable. We explain how professional installation – with special narrow joints and epoxy resin – protects the floor from cracks and wear. We also look at the advantages of the vibration method and show how modern tiles meet the hygienic requirements of the butcher’s shop thanks to their high slip resistance and easy cleaning.
